Sydney indie-rock outfit Sunder are getting you through lockdown with the release of a reimagined version of their debut single, Fruity Lexia.
Dubbed Fruity Lexia - Alt, the track is built upon piano, guitarist Dylan Watson recontextualizing the original guitar lines and melodies to find a new home on the piano. From there, Sunder created a new sonic realm for the track to exist within.
Speaking of the new rendition, the four-piece share: "We wanted to change the vibe of the original release and reimagine it from start to finish to create a moodier alternative, breathe a new light onto the song whilst using the original as a shell."
Sunder have spent the first half of 2021 sharing the stage with local legends The Terrys and The Beddy Rays, the four-piece are gearing up for a headline show of their own. The band have also been working on some new tunes with emerging producer Darcey Gervaise and producer/engineer Jack Nigro (Big Twisty, DMA's, Pacific Avenue).
