Gothic folk musician Yasmin de Laine is gearing up to drop her debut EP, Each Heart Devours The Other, later this week. Ahead of it's release, you can watch the visual for Greensick exclusively on MILKY!
Directed, produced and edited by Taylor Welch, the visual captures the singers eerie approach to folk music, cutting between scenes of uninhabited landscapes and dream like shots of de Laine before flames erupt. The songs sparse soundscape haunts beneath de Laine's beguiling vocal performance, as she documents being lovesick and the physical manifestation of it.
“Inspired by elements of Southern and Australian Gothic horror, the video for Greensick invokes a sense of madness through a splitting of tortured and ecstatic expressions and the thin line of juxtaposition between beauty and destruction.”
