As a preview of her forthcoming EP, SNITCHES marks a bold step forward for the Melbourne artist, blending sharp songwriting with an irresistible sense of personality. Written with collaborator and producer THRONES (Andrew Lowden) in the wake of her “first heartbreak,” the track strips things back completely, built only from layered vocals and percussive sounds like hand claps and door slams - giving the emotion a raw, unfiltered edge.
Directed by Glen Wilk, the video mirrors that intensity, with Gypsy Lee stepping into multiple characters to explore different sides of herself. “I wanted a video that captured everything I am, everything I’m not and what I could be,” she explains. “I can be fun, I can be messy, I can be ugly, I can be your dream girl. What I won’t be, however, is silent.” That statement drives the visual, turning it into a bold reflection of identity and refusal to be boxed in.
