The latest taste of the musicians forthcoming EP, Float Music 1, the track takes its inspiration from the anime classic, Neon Genesis. A moody soundscape unfurls beneath Oshua's sharp bars and dynamic performance. Fuelled by deep 808s, shimmering piano melodies and despondent synth work, eva 02 takes us deeper into the musicians genre-blurring world.
''The song is a direct reference to Unit-02/Asuka, a character from the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion and pulls inspiration from the similarities between piloting an Angel and having a music career. Having to picture yourself in a better position while still enduring and focusing on what's happening in the present moment.” the musician shares with MILKY.
His debut EP Everything Can Levitate saw the artist team up with a number of producers found through online partnerships created on Discord. Throughout his short career, he has been co-signed by Young Thug and Denzel Curry, won the the prestigious Triple J x NIDA music video competition for Veins, and amassed millions of streams across his catalogue.
"I started learning music online as a way to pass time during COVID quarantine." Oshua shares. "I learnt everything through Discord from people all around the world... we’d stay up all night and day and we all had pretty much just started making music. That same discord server is where I found my sound as an artist and it's still going today with the same people."
