Brisbane-based artist MDWS is gearing up to drop his new single, Naive. If you can't wait to give the track a spin, watch the songs music video exclusively on MILKY!
Opening with soothing layered melodies, MDWS distinct vocals soon boom atop mesmerising production as he contemplates the idea of love moving forward following the demise of a relationship. The songs visual, directed by Callum Ellett, finds the musician isolated in his home, recalling on moments from his past relationship and struggling to let go.
“This track is my favourite off my new body of work,” the musician shares. “It’s probably because it hits so close to home for me. The feeling I had after splitting with my long-time partner and sitting in a half empty house with nothing, but my thoughts was something I wanted to convey in both the music and video. I have a running joke with my friends about my music always being so sad, and it’s not intentional but for me, music is a therapeutic way for me to express myself when I have a hard time with words.”
Having signed with Believe, Naive serves as the first taste of MDWS forthcoming EP, which follows up the musicians debut album Another Year.
