Once again teaming up with Malcolm Besly (Northeast Party House, City Calm Down), fordy.'s latest offering leans into the more electronic side of his musical output. The songs dynamic soundscape builds in anticipation towards a beat heavy chorus that will have you dancing all night long. With indie guitar lines fused throughout, Any Other Way is the perfect addition to the musicians growing sonic realm.
"I've always wanted to meld the two worlds, the euphoria of the dance floor and the raw power that omits from guitar music, I'm constantly trying to find the perfect blend between the two.” the artist shares. “I wrote this track as a form of release, musically and lyrically I really let go of any conventions and just went for it, I think that comes across in the end result and I hope that feeling resonates with people.”
The musical project of Charlie Ford, fordy. takes influence from the likes of Foals and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, and made his debut in 2021 with Time. Building towards an EP this year, the musician revealed his second single, Control, last year, with both tracks delving deeper into fordy.'s signature sonic identity.
