Naarm scrap-rock trio, Coolabah Kings are gearing up to drop their new single, Stay Dangerous. If you can't wait to give the track a spin, listen to the release right here on MILKY!
Recorded live at Taste Police HQ, the track serves as the bands first taste of new music for the year and taps Tommy Dynamite of Tommy Dynamite & The Explosions on backing vocals. The songs distinctive soundscape is propelled by driving drum work and magnetic guitar lines, woven together to create an unruly sonic palette. Stay Dangerous finds the trio exploring the decay of a friendship led by different ideals.
"The song delves into the disconnection between a forward thinking narrator and an increasingly distant larrikin mate. As a lack of growth in the latter propels their lives in opposite directions." the band share of the track.
To celebrate the release, the trio will return to the stage later this month for an exclusive single launch performance. Taking over Bar Open on March 31, the band will be supported by Daddy Issues and Astronaughty. Tickets are on sale now!
