MARSHMELLOW is out now!

Filipino and Murrawarri composer, rapper, producer and drummer, Dobby has dropped his sophomore album, MARSHMALLOW. To celebrate, he has curated an exclusive playlist for MILKY full of songs that inspired MARSHMALLOW.

"MARSHMALLOW is a time-travel concept rap album born from my journey to reconnect with my inner child," says Dobby. "Inspired by the 1960's Stanford University Marshmallow Experiment, as well as my unreleased 2009 project ‘The Royal Flame’, this deeply personal project weaves together themes of willpower, mental health, and artistic growth to tell a story spanning ten years of reflection, fear, and self-discovery."

This November, Dobby will hit the stage in Melbourne and Sydney to bring MARSHMALLOW to The Retreat on November 14, and the Factory Theatre (Fusebox) on November 20.

Most of these songs I was listening to during my time in 2019 in Paris making the album, and a few songs from my childhood. There’s a lot of magic in every track; lots of live performance energy, and across different genres. This playlist truly captures the musical foundations of MARSHMALLOW. - Dobby.
