Sydney-based pop duo Cat & Calmell are hitting the road following the release of their latest single, Cry.
Kicking off in Melbourne at The Night Cat on May 21, the run of shows will continue on to Brisbane's The Brightside the following night, before wrapping up at Sydney's Oxford Art Factory on May 26. Tickets are on sale now!
Produced by Jennifer Decilveo (Miley Cyrus, Bat For Lashes / Anne-Marie) and mixed by Mark Rankin (Florence & The Machine, Harry Styles, Broods), the intimate release offers up a vulnerable side of the singers, exposing their own insecurities within a relationship and exploring the irrational effects that can arise. "Cry is the first song we're releasing that explores our vulnerable side when it comes to love and relationships, so we're excited to be putting it out, especially since we feel like it's a pretty universal predicament.” the duo share of the track. The release arrives alongside an official visual, co-directed by Joshua Moll and Oliver Kirby.
The two singers met at a young age at an after-school program for developing artists. Since then, the duo have been inseparable, performing together regularly, appeared on television singing competitions and have been slowly building their fanbase. Now, the duo are taking the conversations they have not only together, but with their fans online, and are creating their own realm in which their music exists. Last year, the duo made their live debut with sold-out headline performances, as well as appearances at Splendour XR and the APRA Awards.
