Australian singer-songwriter Tyne-James Organ has announced the release of his hitly-anticipated debut album, Necessary Evil. Due out this May, the announcement is accompanied by the release of Organ's new single, Sunday Suit.

Bringing his signature commanding vocals to the track, the musician has crafted another indie-rock gem, which is all about letting go of all your troubles. Made complete with lush layers and mesmerising guitar melodies, Sunday Suit is the perfect introduction to Organ's debut record. “Sunday Suit is all about dancing away your troubles. This is one of my favourites on the record and I’m very excited to play it live!” says Organ of the track.

Recorded with longtime creative partner Chris Collins (Middle Kids, Skegss) at his NSW Hinterland studio, Stokers Siding, Necessary Evil came to be throughout 2020, with Organ immersing himself within the rural surroundings of the studio. The setting allowed the musician to completely lose himself within his compositions, focusing in on what he wanted to convey on his debut. The record is set to be a rollercoaster of emotions, moving between triumphant and jubilant tracks, to introspective and tender moments on the next. Navigating and commenting on themes of grief and pain, power and passion, Organ brings his signature open and raw lyricism atop bare bones acoustics to the collection of songs, juxtaposed by undeniable swagger with massive guitar riffs and a swing for the fences approach that only comes from letting it all go and letting the music speak for itself.

Organ wouldn’t even let other music enter his mind whilst recording the album. “I feel in this day and age we are influenced consciously and subconsciously by anything and everything we listen to. So, throughout the album process I only listened to my demos, which meant the only influence which would come into play was myself. I’m so glad I did that,” he adds.

Known for wearing his heart on his sleeve, the talented musician crafts his songs from personal experiences. Releasing his debut EP Perseverance in 2019, the collection og songs exhibited raw honesty whilst thematically exploring love, loss, grief and resilience. 2020 saw Organ string of sold-out headline performances in NSW over summer, building his rapidly growing fanbase. He’s shared stages with The Lumineers, Jake Bugg, Middle Kids, and Lime Cordiale to name a few, and several sold out national headline tours in minutes. As well as playing some of Australia’s biggest festivals including Splendour in the Grass, Falls, Party in the Paddock, Yours and Owls and Fairgrounds.
