THE VANNS UNVEIL NEW SINGLE 'FEELS GOOD NOW'

Watch our full interview with The Vanns!

South Coast favourites The Vanns have delivered their new single Feels Good Now. Earlier in the year, we caught up with the band to chat about about new music, their massive national tour, what they have in store for the rest of 2021 and so much more.

Produced and mixed by Chris Collins, the release opens with frontman Jimmy Vann's soulful vocals, the enriching track brings glistening guitar work playing out atop superb production. Conceptually, the track navigates the road to self-acceptance and overcoming your fears and anxieties, to reach a more fulfilled place in life.

“The song was originally meant to finish with a fade out, but we were having too much fun playing it for it to end so soon. We wrote (and I use that term loosely) the jam at the end of the song at the last minute, before we got in the studio and tracked it. Thematically, Feels Good Now is about taking a risk on something that you feel needs to change in your life despite any anxieties, apprehensions, and reasons why you tell yourself you shouldn’t; and actually pulling it off and feeling all the better for it. It’s a good feeling, hence the title; we can’t bloody wait to play this one live!” shares guitarist Cameron Little

The release is accompanied by an official music video, created by their tour manager and close friend Jules Bourne. The clip highlights footage captured by videographer Sam Tolhurst and DP Surfboards, supporting local talent and small business within their local community.

The four-piece kicked off their extensive national tour on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland earlier this year, before nationwide lockdowns put a halt to live music. The run of shows marked the bands first tour since the release of their debut album, Through The Walls, and followed on from their stellar performance at Wollongong's Yours & Owls Festival earlier this year.
