Following on from their recent signing to Domestic La La, Gerringong five-piece The Terrys have shared their brand new single, IDK. The track serves as the first taste of new music from the band since the release of their debut EP, The TerrySonic Mixtape, late last year and arrives just two weeks after The Terrys scored the 76th spot in triple j's Hottest 100.
The energetic tune explores the weight and impact hurtful words can leave on one another, brought to life by the bands signature honest and conversational lyricism. Laced with sing-a-long melodies and shimmering guitar lines, the songs upbeat nature is sure to become a staple moment in the bands live show.
"IDK pretty much speaks for itself. It’s about those triggers inside you that people can sometime set off and feels like a bit of a punch in the face. It’s a fun take on that, plus we wanted to release a fast song people can dance to at our shows after being cooped up for the last couple years.” the band share of the track.
The Terrys are currently in the midst of first ever national tour, with a number of sold out shows. The five-piece will take to the stage in Melbourne tonight, before continuing on to Footscray, Hobart, Devonport, Launceston, Canberra, Sydney, the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast, Wollongong, Adelaide and Perth, before wrapping up the mammoth run in Margaret River on March 26.
