Australian three-piece THE RIOT have treated fans with new music and the announcement of an east coast tour! Dropping today, the bands new single PISSED is a punchy moment that continues their exploration of rap and hardcore sonics, heralded by frontman JD's captivating performance. “This song is about the difference between the leeches and the creatures.” they share.

Alongside the release arrives alongside a satirical homage to the iconic videos of Busta Rhymes, D12, Blink 182 and the Beastie Boys, as we follow the trio cruising the streets, taking to the boxing ring, church and even showing their vampiric fangs. Speaking of the visual, the band say, “We really wanted to make a video for PISSED that would show the humorous side in situations where we would be pissed off. We also wanted to pay homage to some of our favourite moments and styles of the 90’s so we got together with our friends Call and Bowen to help bring our vision to life.”

Directors Callum Ellett and Bowen Hopper from flouressence add, “With a band name like ‘THE RIOT’ and a track called ‘PISSED’, it only felt natural to take a tongue-in-cheek approach and show the less serious / comedic side of the boys. Inspired by the year 2000’s we all wanted to give the video a sense of nostalgia. Whilst we were fighting the clock to get everything together in time, seeing the three of them all dressed up in their costumes and getting deeply into their characters is something that we will never forget. I don’t think we have all laughed that much in a long time. Reminding us all what creating is about, having fun with your mates.”

Kicking off with support slots on WAAX's tour in Cairns, Townsville, Mackay and Rockhampton later this month, the trio will then embark on their own headline tour. Beginning on the Sunshine Coast on November 26, the run of shows will continue on to Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Toowoomba and Sydney, before wrapping up in Melbourne on January 14.
