Western Australia-based songwriting duo The Money War have shared their new single, Somebody Loves You.
The musical project of Dylan Ollivierre and Carmen Pepper, the duos latest offering is an uplifting and hopeful cut that sends a message of love togetherness brought to life by vivid lyricism and Ollivierre's endearing vocal performance. Leaning into their signature indie-pop sonics, warm guitar melodies unfurl throughout the songs inviting and lulling soundscape, showcasing the duos ability to craft an engaging composition.
“The song came about after I’d been pondering how interconnected everyone and everything is. Such an obvious realisation, like the fact that everyone is a child to someone, can weirdly be so mind blowing when you’ve been stuck in your own tiny world.” Ollivierre shares. Pepper adds, “I guess the overall message is one of reassurance - that we should try and see the big picture even when we feel somewhat alone or insignificant.”
