Mornington Peninsula four-piece Teenage Dads have treated fans with the announcement of their new EP, Midnight Driving. The news comes after the bands track Teddy placed #63 on triple j's Hottest 100, with the four-piece appearing on triple j’s Like A Version this to perform the track alongside a cover of The Buggles’ 80s anthem ‘Video Killed The Radio Star.

Shifting into new sonic territory, the release is set to push up against the boundaries of the bands signature sound, leaning into synth-work and a more pulled back approach. The band share the EP “... is about perspective. How things look from one point of view, and how they can change over time from another outlook. The songs feel like diary entries, documented internally, like conversations you have with yourself when you go Midnight Driving. A constant, internal form of therapy almost.”

Teenage Dads have also added new shows to their previously announced Australian and New Zealand tour. Kicking off at The Zoo in Fortitude Valley on March 4, the tour will continue on to Melbourne and Sydney, before crossing the Tasman for performances in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. The band are also set to appear at Groovin The Moo in Wayville, Maitland, Canberra, Bendigo and the Sunshine Coast this April.
