Gumbaynggirr rapper Tasman Keith has delivered his superb debut album, A Colour Undone. Earlier this week, the musician was revealed as a performer Splendour In the Grass 2022, taking place in Byron Bay later this month.

Featuring collaborations with ARIA Award winners Genesis Owusu and Jessica Mauboy, the body of work effortlessly brings together old-school hip-hop and alt-R&B soundscapes, with threads of pop and electro woven throughout to create a dynamic sonic exploration. Keith meanders between textural vocals and laid back flows as he narrates the complexities of the human existence, touching on love, loss, trauma, and healing.

A Colour Undone is the undoing of myself, expectations, ego, envy and all the unhealthy external things that you need to rid yourself of to be fulfilled internally. This album is me at my most open, my most vulnerable, my most powerful, and my most confident. I don’t have the words to express what releasing it means to me, I just know this moment is something I’ve been working towards my entire life so it will take a minute to process this exact moment. I hope the listener finds comfort and discomfort in the record. Undoing everything to become my complete self was the goal, and it forever will be. It’s all in the album for you to hear. Find peace before you rest in it.” the rapper shares of the release.

With appearances at Splendour In The Grass and Garramalang Festival scheduled for later this month, Keith will host two headline performances this September. Taking place at Eora / Sydney's House of MBC on September 16 and Naarm / Melbourne's Colour on September 24, tickets are on sale now with Phil Fresh set to support.

Keith joins Fremantle five piece Pond as the latest acts to join the stacked Splendour line up, following the news Surfaces, Mako Road and Adrian Eagle are no longer able to make this years festival. With headliners the Gorillaz Tyler, The Creator and The Strokes announced last year, Keith will join a slew of Australian and international talent at the festival. Kacey Musgraves, Jack Harlow, Orville Peck, Yungblud, DMA's, Liam Gallagher, Amyl & the Sniffers, Chillinit, Holly Humberstone, Northeast Party House, Sycco, Genesis Owusu, BIIG PIIG, flowerkid, Ruel, Oliver Tree, Stella Donnelly, G Flip and Aitch are just a handful of the incredible performers you'll be able to catch at Splendour 2022.
