Newcastle four-piece Sitting Down have dropped their new single, All The Time. The track serves as the first taste of the bands soon-to-be released sophomore EP.
Leaning into a more experimental sonic exploration, the band teamed up with producer Gareth Hudson (Bree Rusev, Briggs, Daniel March) to create a hypnotic dream-pop cut infused with subtle threads of psychedelia highlighted through glistening sitar melodies. The songs 6/4 time signature drives the track and its wonderfully curated soundscape, showcasing the bands clear musicianship and understanding of their craft. The song explores the comfort of companionship and a longing human connection.
"All The Time is a retrospective song about the idea of love. Through experimenting with [our] producer, [we] were able to explore new sounds that allowed [us] to sonically paint each layer with the intent of capturing a spectrum of emotions." the band share of the track.
Sitting Down set to take to the stage at Light Up The Lake Fest at The Entrance on November 5th, performing alongside The Rions, Le Shiv, Beddy Rays and Elaskia. The band will then embark on a run of headline shows, visiting Brunswick, Towradgi, Woy Woy, Newtown and Newcastle.
All The Time is out now!
