Following on from forever&more, Role Model has delivered another banger with death wish. Conceptually, the track centres itself around a toxic approach to a relationship, and the allure of its complex and unpredictable nature.
The musical project of Tucker Pillsbury, the track takes a darker approach to the musicians signature hip-hop infused pop sonics and arrives alongside an official visual, directed by William Desena. We meet the singer on a Victorian-style estate, where he is a prisoner to his lover, with eerie scenes taking place.
Speaking of the track, Pillsbury shares: “The entire song came from the chords. It immediately felt super sinister and evil, but sexual at the same time. I wanted to create this intimidating, powerful, female character to represent that desire we have for things we know aren’t good for us.”
Bursting onto the scene in 2017, Role Model has two EP's under his belt, 2019's oh, how perfect and 2020's our little angel EP. The musician has worked alongside the likes of BENEE, with fans including his late idol Mac Miller and Benny Blanco.
