Melbourne-based artist Paige Barnard has dropped her new single, Forget You. If you're hanging to see the songs visual, you can watch the official music video right here on MILKY!
Directed by Barnard alongside Ronan Nicholson, we follow the singer as she travels to a country town, frolicking through the fields of a vineyard and making her own bottle of wine. Filmed on Super 8, the visual captures the nostalgic sonic warmth of the track, which captures the emotions of hurt and healing following the demise of a relationship.
“Forget You is quite a sad breakup song to me but it has a nostalgic essence to it and that’s why I chose to shoot the music video on a Vintage Super 8 Film camera to match that reminiscent feeling. Ronan came up with the fun concept of making a boot leg bottle of Wine which I found quite fitting. It was a really fun day filming and collecting all the bits and bobs to make it work and interesting researching how wine is made. I hope it makes people smile. Lifting that wine barrel was so heavy!” Barnard shares.
To celebrate the release, Barnard will take to the stage at Melbourne's The Gasometer Hotel on April 22. With special guests Ailsa and Mantell, tickets are on sale now!
