Last month, Wollongong indie-dance outfit Good Lekker dropped their exhilarating new track, Hard To Be Alone. If you're loving the track like us and hanging for the visual, you can watch the music video right here on MILKY before its release!

Filmed at Hillview Heritage Hotel in the Southern Highlands, the clip was directed and edited by Nicholas Issakson, the visual was shot by Jamison Kerr with additional grading by Wes Grant. Within the visual, co-vocalist Alex Grey is seen travelling within two settings; a harsh red and green neon realm and the houses natural outdoor surroundings. Using vivid imagery and metaphors to capture confronting insecurities, the clip sends Grey on a downward spiral as he navigates the real world and thoughts within his own mind.

Speaking of the visual, Grey shares: “The video is toying on the instabilities that many relationships have. It does this by having the protagonist going slightly crazy throughout the video. He is stuck in his own head and the real world.”

Diving headfirst into infectious lead guitar riffs, stedfast percussion and the grooviest bass lines you'll hear today, Good Lekker have crafted a scintillating fusion of indie-dance, just in time for the weekend. Made complete with bright piano chords and arpeggiating synths, the track builds to a crescendo, overtaken by crash cymbals and manic guitars to see the track out with a monumental finale. Conceptually, the song creates tackles personality traits, creating caricature out of our actions to comment on the retrospective absurd view we can sometimes have of our actions.

Good Lekker burst on to the scene with their debut EP, which saw them tour the east coast of Australia with a string of sold out performances. No strangers to hitting the road, the band have embarked on multiple headline tours and supporting crowd favourites Boo Seeka and The Babe Rainbow, as well as slots at Australian boutique festivals Party in the Paddock, Yours & Owls, Sweaty Palms, FKA Festival and Garden Party. The six-piece are in the midst of their sold-out east coast tour, with further dates supporting crowd favourites MALLRAT, Hockey Dad, The Vanns and Teen Jesus And The Jean Teasers.
