Sydney-based artist Angus McColl has delivered his debut single, DEAD. If you're loving the track and hanging to watch the visual, you can watch the music video right here on MILKY!

Serving as the introduction to McColl's musical output, DEAD is a cathartic cut that captures the lingering emotions of heartbreak. The songs effortless digital soundscape unfurls beneath the musicians entrancing vocals, bringing together a mix of Moog, Sequential, Novation, Arturia and high end digital synthesis to create a dynamic and textural listening experience.

Directed by Jordy Simpson, the moody and cinematic visual captures the songs thematic exploration with a particular focus on heartbreak and self-destruction, following the demise of a relationship. Filmed in Sydney, we meet McColl in the wake of a car crash as glimpses of a former love flash across the screen, offering insight into the state of the former relationship and the influence had on one another.

Speaking of the visual, McColl shares: “I wanted every track to tell a story visually as well as musically. We wanted each piece of music to sound like it could be in a movie. A cinematic desire. Jordan Simpson (Flowerboy production) is one of my closest friends who lives up the road. I played him the track and Andre and myself described the plot. I remember Jordy switched and looked so serious and said “lets make it fucked up amazing”. I remember rocking up to set on one of the car crash scenes and the car was smashed, smoke everywhere, lights in the trees, people running around, this was at 3 am in a Maroubra carpark. I started tearing up because I couldn't believe this was happening, months of work and here we are on set, i felt so fucking grateful and blessed by my friends.”
