Continuing their 70's/80's fuelled sonic exploration, Designer brings the duos signature effortless production, glistening beneath captivating melodies and swelling vocals. The track navigates themes of self-worth and the pressures of contemporary society, fuelled by a newfound infatuation. For the visual, the duo bring the glow of the 70's, offering split-screen inspired shots whilst capturing their enigmatic presence.
“Designer is our modern take on a 1970s disco ballad. A little cheesy, and a little dreamy, its pretty much just about being infatuated with someone to the point where they become your world and shape your outlook on reality. It’s a surrender in the sense that it’s admitting ‘this is your world, and I just wanna live in it.” the duo share of the track.
The musical project of brothers Henry and Pierre Beasley, Balu Brigada are heralding in their own take on groove-pop, fusing together a variety of sonic threads and experimenting with their sound. In 2019, the duo dropped their debut release, Almost Feel Good Mixtape, bringing irresistible melodies and superb production that continued onto their 2022 debut EP, I Should Be Home.
