Last week, Sydney indie-rock outfit Highline dropped their new single, Staying Sane. If you're loving the track like us and hanging for the visual, you can watch the music video for the track right here on MILKY before its release!

Set to be featured on their sophomore EP, Staying Sane is built upon jangly guitars and synth tones, marking the first time the band have weaved synths within their sonic soundscapes. The track conceptually navigates the lingering emotions after the demise of a relationship, and conversations had in an attempt to reach out for support.

Filmed at The Grove Studios and directed by John Roman, the visual offers a behind-the-scenes look into the bands recording process for their forthcoming EP. Speaking of the visual, front man Sam Rigney shared with MILKY: "A snapshot into how much fun it was to make the new EP. A time when the chaos and uncertainty of the world around us seemed to pause"

Forming in high school after playing together in their schools jazz band, Highline have spent the last few years building up their fanbase and carving out their own path within the indie-rock genre. Having released their debut EP Strictly Dreaming in February last year, the four-piece have played sold-out shows across Sydney, including a headline performance at The Lansdowne. Highline have spent the past year working on new music, writing and recording with producer Jack Nigro at the acclaimed The Grove Studios in NSW.

The band will make their grand return to the stage this next month, performing a headline show at Sydney's Oxford Art Factory on April 3. Tickets are available here.
