Perth rapper, DJ and audio engineer KOTA is about to his new single, Wasted, full of heavy hip-hop roots and strong spitfire energy. Accompanied by an official music video, you can watch the visual right here on MILKY before its release!

Taking on an imaginative and aesthetic narrative to accompany the track, the visual depicts the musician slowly being submerged in water whilst incased within a perspex coffin. The strong imagery symbolises the musician re-emerging aa an artist after feeling misdirected or trapped. Speaking of the visual, KOTA explains: "The production team and myself really went all in for this video and it's my proudest work to date. Being able to watch your track come to life is an amazing feeling and I can't wait to share this with everyone."

The track itself was inspired by the musicians short hiatus from creating music, instead being more immersed with going out and nightlife. After shifting his focus back to his craft, Wasted serves as a reminder and of the musicians goals.

Having first released music in 2018, KOTA has spent his time establishing his own signature sound, leaving an impression on some of Perth’s biggest events such as Get Bodied Festival (The Game Sports Bar), Liquid Kandy 1+2 (Metro City), Apocalypse Tour Perth (Jack Rabbit Slims), Riddim (Gilkison's) and more. KOTA has also supported some of the leading names in Australian hip-hop such as ChillinIt, Drapht and Wombat, and worked alongside rising artist, Nerve for his track Like That.
