Opening with soothing lo-fi organ notes, the duo bring silky grooves and soulful vocals to the track, written and produced by the band and mixed by Jared Adlam. Conceptually, the song is an ode to love, making a commitment to someone and the spark of joy that ignites at the thought of spending your lives together.
Speaking of the track, the duo share: “Love blends groove and emotion leaving the listener feeling elevated. “Love” is about the beginning of true commitment. The excitement and possibilities that come with creating a life with someone. It’s also about how that feeling translates universally. The shape and size of our love in every part of our lives colour and intensifies everything we are. The classic Wurlitzer drives through the entire song accompanying the strong vocal hooks and delicate guitar parts. Picture yourself dancing softly with your partner reminiscing on many years of joy. To celebrate the release, Buttered will be taking to the stage across the Sunshine State, kicking off their run of shows in Maroochydore before continuing on to Brisbane and the Gold Coast, before travelling south to wrap the tour up in Byron Bay.
Since making their debut last year, the duo have been heard across the airwaves and racked up almost 500,000 streams worldwide. They've also sold-out shows across the Gold Coast and Brisbane, bringing their ultra-vibe filled tunes to life on stage.
