Eora/Sydney-based garage-rock quartet Before the King are gearing up to drop their new EP, All That You Know. If you're like us and can't wait to give it a spin, listen to the release exclusively on MILKY!
Produced and mixed by Chloe Dadd (Polish Club, The Buoys, Andy Golledge), with Christian Wright (The National,Fontaines D.C., La Roux) on mixing duties, the release continues the brimming indie-rock sonics established on the bands recently released debut album, Different Combinations Of The Same, leaning into more garage rock and brit-pop influences. Laced with fuzzy guitar lines and driving percussion, the EP explores life as an adult, navigating love, toxicity and finding your feet.
“The EP symbolises a departure from our influences, as we define our own unique sound. It symbolises a step forward for us, and coincides with us beginning to make our mark as a serious band." frontman Dean Smusko shares of the release.
To celebrate the arrive of the EP, Before the King on a tour of NSW and the ACT. Kicking off on August 12 in Ngambri/Canberra, the run of shows will continue on to Wiradjuri/Tumut, Mulubinba/Newcastle and Darkinjung/Terrigal, before wrapping up in Eora/Sydney at The Lansdowne Hotel on August 27.
