Naarm/Melbourne writer and producer, Aydin Sayar is treating us with his new single, Relief, premiering right here on MILKY!
Across the track, Sayar evokes a vulnerability as he explores past-struggles with navigating his own mental health. His cyclical experiences with anxiety and
depression are dissected as he strives towards a healthier headspace. Co-produced and mixed with Hamish Mitchell (I’lls, Armlock) and mastered by Andrei Eremin (G Flip,
Budjerah), the guitar-led release is built within a warm and soothing soundscape that captures the songs thematic exploration.
“I went through a period where I had put off therapy for an extremely long period and realised that I had absolutely no tools to better myself. It was a vicious cycle of toxic emotions such as depletion, confusion, sadness and irritation.” Sayar reflects.
“I was in a place where I was just begging for answers and I was struck with a gaping sense of pessimism. It wasn’t until I narrowed my thoughts and practiced some self care, that I finally found that feeling of clarity and ‘Relief’.”
