Brisbane musician Andy Martin is gearing up to release his new single, Dreamworld. If you can’t wait to give it a spin, listen to the track right here on MILKY before its release!

Shrouded with intimacy and vulnerability, Dreamworld finds the singer navigates life in your early twenties and allow yourself the space to grow and give yourself a try. Recorded at Ian Haug’s Airlock Studios (Art of Sleeping, Eliza & The Delusionals, Tia Gostelow), Martin's distinctive vocals soar atop his signature indie-rock sonics, weaving in influences of folk and classic Australian rock

”On the surface, Dreamworld exemplifies a love song about heartbreak… but that couldn’t be further from the truth. All of the focal points in the song refer to an angsty, apprehensive 20 something year old trying to navigate through his own life. It is about trying to rid yourself of anger and to just simply give yourself a break. I know I’m too hard on myself but Dreamworld is in essence, me trying to “flip the script” the singer shares of the visual.

Formerly fronting indie-rock band HANDLES, Martin has stepped out on his own and is currently under the mentorship of Powderfinger guitarist Ian Haug. Receiving training as a trumpet player, the musician has performed with internationally acclaimed brass bands as well as played leads in various musicals. Last year, the singer unveiled his debut EP, Living in the Heat of it All, which traversed themes of love, heart break and mental health. The six track release also saw the musician take on the ambitious task of being the sole performer on the EP.
