Melbourne-based indie rock outfit The Velvet Club have shared their new single, Love Me The Same. To celebrate the release, the five-piece have curated a collection of songs for MILKY that serves as the perfect soundtrack after a hard day's work.
“Lyrically, the song is about the feeling of knowing you have people around you that support you and look after you, no matter what is going on in your life. It might not even be a person, it could be your dog!” frontman AJ Tilyard shares. “I guess it’s just about unconditional love and the feeling that comes with being loved unconditionally even if things aren’t going great at the time. It's a comforting feeling to know you have support.”
Off the back of the release, The Velvet Club will be hitting the road for a run of headline shows. Kicking off in Sydney on June 16, the tour will continue on to Melbourne on June 18, before wrapping up in Brisbane on June 24.
