Emerging artist edith has teamed up with Sydney singer-songwriter Taj Ralph on her new single, Falling Away. To celebrate the release, the duo have curated an exclusive playlist for MILKY, full of tracks from their favourite emerging artists.
Co-written with Aodhan and Ryan Miller (Vera Bue, Thelma Plum), the duo navigate the expectations of choosing a path in life, whilst feeling uneasy and anxious about the looming decision. Laced with ear-worm melodies and relatable lyricism, edith and Taj's vocal performances bring the vibrant track to life, which arrrives alongside an official visual directed by Bailey Watts (BOY SODA, Flower Kid, Boo Seeka).
"Falling Away is a song written about the feeling of being lost and on the precipice of change. Feeling the weight of making a decision or choosing a path that might not be conventional and taking that leap of faith, leaning in and letting all the rest just fall away. It was inspired by the period of time after finishing up highschool, expectations of what I should do or be. I feel like everyone has a time in their life where they have found themselves at a similar crossroads... this is about mine." Edith shares.

Oh Boy and I have been working together on a bunch of music over the last few years, he’s genuinely helped me shaped my sound and the way I make music. Will has a strong creative vision with every aspect of making music and he’s super talented. He’s sitting on an amazing project with multiple songs I’ve played a part in and I can’t wait for him to put it out.
BARO SURA - DAYS
Baro is another artist that I’m always coming back too, his songwriting paired with Silentjay’s production never fails to impress me and keep me vibing. Big up Baro.
TENTENDO - RIDE
This track has no business grooving that hard, with R.ICO from Boomchild on vocals, Ride is too clean. Tentendo produced my debut ep a couple years ago and he was the best to work with, I got nothing but respect for how talented he is. I learnt a lot from that week in Melbourne with him.
