ON TOUR WITH LSF

We teamed up with LSF to create an exclusive live video of their latest single, Red And Blue!

To celebrate the release of their debut record, Halloween Night, Wollongong alt-rock band LSF (FKA Left Side Filter) launched the record with an intimate performance of the record in full at UOW Uni Bar, on the eve of halloween. The one-of-a-kind show showcased the experimental avenues they explored while creating the record, with fans donning their spookiest costumes to experience the album in full. We were there to capture all the action, working with LSF to create a live music video of their latest single, Red And Blue!

Opening with the brooding title track, Halloween Night, the four-piece from Shellharbour set the scene for the night. With a massive guitar riff that could fit perfectly into any Halloween themed film, the performance was complete with operatic backing vocals from Sam Allen and a mesmerising vocal performance from frontman Blake Lauricella. Amping up the energy with constantly changing time signatures, the band were flexing their musicianship skills.

Bringing back live rock music, LSF captivated audience members attentions from start to finish. Songs like Hexaflexagon with its Egyptian influence and macabre riff had fans rocking out in their seats, with A Dream Out Of Hell creating a contemplative moment of breath during the fairly heavy set.

Closing their set with Red And Blue, LSF were in full force, thrashing along to beat and tempo of the track and proving heavy Australian rock music is well and truly alive. The experimental nature of the record allowed the four-piece to create a unique live experience, dressing the stage in spooky scenes and dressed in costumes, linking the visuals of the live show to the conceptual nature of the record. Full of peaks and valleys, the set takes on a variety sonic and lyrical approaches to the themes present, creating live experience that embodies all the fears and anxieties associated with horror, whilst also putting on a damn good enjoyable show. The show included sets from support acts The Shang, TEX and DRIFT.
