Genre-defying artist MYKA recently dropped his tender new single, gucci bloom. The musician has now shared a live performance visual of the track, breathing new life into the song.
Throughout the track, MYKA recalls on a past flame and captures the feelings of love lost through emotive and introspective lyricism. His smooth and captivating vocals flow above bewitching guitar lines and spatial piano melodies, with the songs live visual offering an intimate glimpse into the musicians studio life and captures the intimacy of the track.
Speaking of the clip, the musician shares with MILKY: “The live video was done at the studio I record at in Nashville, TN. We were originally supposed to do it outside but while we were setting everything up it started raining really bad. I love the way it turned out so I'm kind of glad that happened haha. I'm excited because everyone gets to see what it would look like if I were to perform with a band and the masks live. I love it. Can’t wait to do this is front of a crowd”
At the age of 13, MYKA began recording music his own music and delving into the world of writing at his cousins makeshift studio, quickly having three mixtapes under his belt. In 2020, the musician unveiled his debut EP, WHERE WE GO FROM HERE, which provided the grounding place for experimentation with sound and genre, weaving together a number of sonic influences to arrive at his own unique exploration. gucci bloom is the first taste of new music since, and leaves us wanting more!
