Multidisciplinary alt-RnB artist Meyy has shared her new track, Famous. The singer will release a self-directed visual for the track in the coming weeks.
On Famous, the musician continues her exploration of dark bedroom pop, threading in influences of late-night R&B. Meyy began working on the track one night after a breakup, using her craft as a tool to navigate the emotions present within her mind. The moody track brings atmospheric sonics atop a spatial soundscape, producing a melancholic masterpiece.
Of the track, Meyy details: "I needed to express the way I felt, to cope with the emotions through music. I didn’t even have the intention of really “making a song”. I love it when that happens- when a track comes from that place. There is a powerful fragility that comes with it. Even though this song talks about a very specific situation, I think other people will still connect with the emotions you can feel in the melodies, the desperateness and the universal brittle feeling of never being ‘enough’ for someone."
