Los Angeles-based songwriter Max Leone has shared another taste of his debut EP with the release of his new single, untitled. The cathartic track is another beacon that showcase Leone's musical versatility as a songwriter and vocalist, with the song set to appear on the musicians forthcoming debut EP, Malleable, due out this year.
A moment of introspection and reflection, untitled dissects the musicians own youth and inner emotions, fearful and falling into an emotionless void whilst also considering his hopes and aspirations for life moving forward. The acoustic driven soundscape offers emotion stirring moments, spatial and atmospheric at times to allow the listener their own space for introspective thought.
"Writing untitled felt like unloading all these little weights I had been carrying around with me. When a song feels like a relief, that’s a pretty good indicator it’s something special." Leone shares of the writing process.
Throughout Malleable Leone tells his story of navigating a new city alone while chasing a potentially far-fetched dream. He explores themes of self-doubt, longing for anything familiar, and coping with ‘modern isolation’: keeping up appearances on social media while silently suffering.
