ARIA Award winners Lime Cordiale have graced us with some new music today, dropping their new single Facts Of Life.
Produced by David K Haddad, the track is the perfect dose of Lime Cordiale's signature summer drenched sonics, built upon a striking piano melody and hazy guitar work. Vocalist Louis Leimbach's enchanting vocals float above, whilst he captures youthful experiences of love, sex and making mistakes that will leave you with valuable life lessons.
“You can read about the birds and the bees all you want but it won’t make a difference to how you feel in the moment. Get kooky and make mistakes because these are the facts of life,” says Oli Leimbach of the single. Louis Leimbach. adds, “The song is about the feelings that surround new experiences. As they wrap up their 14 Steps To A Better You Tour in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney over the next few weeks, Lime Cordiale have announced their new Facts Of Life Tour. Kicking off in Wollongong on May 5, the run of shows will continue on to the Sunshine Coast, Kingscliff, Hobart and Adelaide, before wrapping up in Coffs Harbour on May 14.
Earlier this year, the duo released their joint EP with British actor, writer, producer, rapper and singer-songwriter Idris Elba, Cordi Elba. Written alongside the duos longtime producer and co-writer David K Haddad, the charming body of work pushes the boundaries of Lime Cordiale's signature breezy sonics, with Elba's unique and textural performance providing the perfect, if somewhat unexpected, musical partner for the duo.
