Laneway Festival is back! Celebrating its 18th birthday, the staple Australian music festival has returned for another year of live music and good times.
Taking over Sydney Showgrounds yesterday, audiences were treated to superb sets from headliners American sister trio HAIM and Japanese artist Joji, marking both artists only Australian shows. Phoebe Bridgers, FINNEAS, Fontaines D.C., Fred again..., girl in red, Slowthai and Yard Act hosted magnetic sets that kept the crowd simmering throughout the day.

The lineup was rounded out by a bevy of local and international acts, including Hockey Dad, Mallrat, 100 Gecs, Chaos In The CBD, Knucks, Ross From Friends, The Beths, Adam Newling, The BackseatLovers, Harvey Sutherland, JACOTÉNE, jamesjamesjames, Logic1000, Sycco, Tasman Keith and The Lazy Eyes.

Laneway will continue on to Adelaide's Bonython Park this Friday, before heading to The Park in Melbourne's Flemington, and Wellington Square in Perth.
