The Music & Booze Co. have treated us with new dates and an expanded line up for the King Street Carnival. Expanding of King Street Crawl, the event has been elevated to a multi-genre weekend of music, taking over over Sydney Park Amphitheatre, Camperdown Rest Memorial Park and Brick Pits next January.

Since launching in 2015, King Street Crawl celebrates Newtown's vibrant main strip, showcasing a bevy of local talented artists, as well as beloved local bars, pubs, venues, cafes, shops. The new iteration of the event will continue the fun, in a bigger way. Adding to the line up is more local talent, including Hiatus Kaiyote, Middle Kids, Amyl and the Sniffers Kaiit, Mildlife, Donny Benét, Andy Golledge, Heaps Gay Party in the Park and more.

Expanding to Sydney Park Amphitheatre, Elefant Traks, Horrorshow and New Zealand rap powerhouse JessB lead Friday’s lineup, with Western Sydney soul trio Planet Vegeta, Nardean, Auckland’s very own Half Queen, Carolina Gasolina and Dameeeela rounding out day one.

Saturday brings the rock'n'roll, with Aussie legends You Am I, Magic Dirt and Hayley Mary will taking to the stage, alongside one of our favourite local acts Johnny Hunter, and garage punk party drivers Shogun & the Sheets with some neo-psychedelia straight from The Laurels. Meanwhile, the wonderful Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, Stella Donnelly, The Lazy Eyes and The Buoys, Maple Glider, The Regime and Joseph Liddy & The Skeleton Horse take over Camperdown Rest Memorial Park.

As the event comes to an end on Sunday, we're treated to sets from some of Australia's most renowned live acts, Confidence Man and Touch Sensitive, as well as Melbourne staple Harvey Sutherland, multi-instrumentalist Milan Ring, Sydneysider CLYPSO, Lazywax, Liyah Knight and Setwun at Sydney Park Amphitheatre. Camperdown Rest Memorial Park will see one of Australia's most successful and renowned acts return to the stage, with Yothu Yindi headlining the final day. Joining the star-studded lineup is ARIA Award winner Sarah Blasko, Alex The Astronaut, All Our Exes Live In Texas, Emma Donovan & The Putbacks, Caitlin Harnett & The Pony Boys and EJ Worland.
