Multiplatinum selling global superstar Khalid has unveiled his excellent new tape SCENIC DRIVE. The release serves as a companion piece to 2018's Sun City.
Foraying into more R&B based sounds, the musician delivers a captivating vocal performance across the collection of songs. Teaming up with the likes of Alicia Keys, 6Lack, Lucky Daye, Quin, J.I.D., Kiana Lede, Majid Jordan, Smino and Ari Lennox, SCENIC DRIVE is heralded by its lead single present, a track all about living in moment and spending time with your significant other without distraction.
Speaking of the track, the musician shares: “Here we go! I’m so grateful to have worked with so many amazing/talented artists on this project! Also, I’m so excited for everyone to hear this and live with it. I’m always nervous to release new music but canhonestly say this is a project I’ll hold close to my heart forever. I wanna thank everyone from the producers to the features for bringing this to life!”
The six-time Grammy-nominated musician burst onto the scene with his 5x platinum debut single, Location, taken from his debut album, the double platinum-certified, American Teen. His follow up record, Free Spirit, received critical acclaim and spawned the Free Spirit World Tour, which took the singer arenas across the globe, including a national Australian Tour. Khalid has collaborated with the likes of Halsey, Billie Eilish, Normani and Benny Blanco, showcasing his versatility as an artist throughout his collaborations and releases, and alongside his mother he launched The Great Khalid Foundation, which is committed to helping families by alleviating a burden of need.
