16-year-old artist KALI has unveiled her new single, I Just Wanna, set to feature on the singers forthcoming debut EP, CIRCLES. Set atop a shimmering indie-pop soundscape, the singers dreamy vocals mesmerise as the song plays out, bringing her conversational and relatable lyricism to the track.

The release is accompanied by an official visual, co-directed by Zealand Yancy and Sophia Ziskin. As the clip begins, we find the singer in a frantic state as she runs down her red-lit neighbourhood, urgently grasping for something just out of reach.

Having grown up performing in recitals and covering hit songs from the Beatles, Kali Flanagan began taking private music lessons and songwriting masterclasses to nurture her growing talent. In 2017, the musician assembled her first band, Big Wednesday. Intuitive and eager, she taught herself how to use Garageband and began writing and demoing songs that she would later teach her bandmates. Their relatable and honest indie-surf arrangements drew sweaty, teenage crowds to local venues like The Smell and The Viper Room and would lead her to her now solo work as KALI
