Melbourne based pop/R&B artist JXN is back, sharing his brand new single, Love Sux. The track marks the singers second release under his new label home, Australian indie label City Pop Records.

Bringing his signature smooth vocals to the track, Love Sux explores the highs and lows of falling in love, laced with introspective lyricism. JXN's signature smooth vocals float above guitar-led sonics that build to an earworm hook and engaging production. The self-confessional release came to life over a zoom call, with the singer teaming up with Swedish duo Teddy Failure and songwriter Kristen Carpenter.

Love Sux is my attempt at a love song,” the singer shares. “I feel corny describing it, but the whole song is about the troubles I’ve come up against in love. There are times when it can really suck, but I’ve added a last minute flip “Love Sux, but you don’t” because there are certainly times when it can work out.”

He continues, “It actually makes me cry when I sing it stripped back with my guitar thinking about everything I love. It’s a beautiful song and possibly one of my most vulnerable if you can look past the absolute banging production and stop dancing for a second!”

Making his debut in 2018 with his captivating track Solitude, JXN has since collaborated with the likes of New York rapper A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and Bronx rapper A$AP Twelvyy on Red Lights and Going Off respectively. Last year saw the release of his debut EP, Never A Sad Adventure, which featured the single Outta Space, which saw JXN team up with Australian artists, Allday and Fossa Beats.

Love Sux is out now.
