Acclaimed Australian musician Julia Stone has treated us all with a wonderful gift for the festive season, her first ever Christmas album! Everything Is Christmas is sure to become your new December soundtrack with Stone putting her own magical twist on 14 contemporary classics and seasonal standards.

Recorded at Reservoir Studio in Midtown, New York, Stone co-produced the collection of songs with long-time friend and collaborator Thomas Bartlett (St Vincent, Norah Jones, Yoko Ono) with the singer enlisting the likes of American singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Sam Amidon, Leigh Fisher and Nico Muhly to lend their talents. Recorded live, the songs capture the essence of the holidays, heralded by Stone's mesmerising and warm vocal tones that reignite life into the songs we all know and love.

Featuring Joni Mitchell's River, WHAM’s Last Christmas and Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas Is You, as well as more classic tunes including, Away in A Manger, Joy To The World and Come All Ye Faithful, Everything Is Christmas has something for everyone.

“Christmas music has always been such a beautiful and nostalgic part of my life,” says Julia. “This is a record I’ve always wanted to make. It has been in me for so long. These are some of the very first songs that really got under my skin as a kid. Familiar like that favourite jumper you will never throw away. It has been a dream of mine to make a record of my favourite Christmas songs, with my favourite people.”

To celebrate the release, Stone will be performing a handful of shows across NSW and Victoria. Kicking off at Archies Creek Pub on December 16 in Victoria, the songstress will then take to the stage for two performances at Restaurant Hubert in Sydney, before a set at The Barn On The Ridge in Morton on December 22. Fans can also get their hands on a limited release vinyl pressing of the album, personally signed by Stone.

Earlier this year, the singer unveiled first solo album in eight years, Sixty Summers. The release arrived as a powerful rebirth for one of Australia’s most prolific artists. Moving away from her signature folk and indie-rock, the record moves into uncharted territory, exploring the world of late-night, moonlit pop. Due out this April, the album is set to showcase Stone at her truest, brightest self, sharing her long, secret love affair with this vibrant and complex genre. Months later, Stone teamed up once again with her brother Angus Stone to deliver their fourth studio album, Life Is Strange, which serves as a soundtrack for the award-winning video game of the same name.
