Rising UK-based singer-songwriter Holly Humberstone has blessed us all with her new single, Sleep Tight.

Co-written with longtime collaborator Rob Milton and The 1975’s Matty Healy, the track navigates the uneasy feelings of developing feelings for a friend. Laced with vivid story telling lyricism, Humberstone's enchanting vocals float above synth-pop production that draws likeness to The 1975.

Speaking of the track, Humberstone shares: "It’s awkward trying to navigate catching feelings for a friend, as they are often feelings we might have been suppressing for some time. When they float to the surface, you have to weigh up the risks of getting hurt and potentially losing them in your life. I wrote ‘Sleep Tight’ about the uncertainty of friendships evolving into something more. The first summer out of lockdown was pretty crazy for my friends and I because we finally had our freedom back and acted like we had nothing to lose. This song takes me back to that time of what felt like no consequences and impending heartbreak".

Humberstone will visit Australia for the first time this July, performing at Splendour In The Grass in Byron Bay on July 24. The singer has also announced two headline shows, set to take place in Sydney on July 27 and Melbourne on July 29, both of which have sold out.

The singer made her debut in 2020 with her EP Falling Asleep At The Wheel, a poised and graceful release that presented a maturity that many of her pop predecessors worked away at for years before achieving. Having been named the BRIT Rising Star of 2022, Humberstone is set to perform her biggest shows yet, supporting Olivia Rodrigo on her mammoth North American tour.
