New Zealand singer-songwriter, Lilly Carron has shared her new single, Keeping Our Bodies Warm, alongside the announcement of her sophomore EP, And The Clouds Came Undone, set to arrive this May. To celebrate the release, the singer has shared with MILKY five New Zealand acts everyone should be listening to.

“Creating these songs gave me space for internal reflection, confronting myself, parts I needed to lose and those I wished to draw closer. Exploring the idea of escapism, solitude and boundaries. My heart is spilled all over this collection of songs, I am so excited to be sharing it with you soon.” Carron shares of the forthcoming release.

RITA MAE

Rita and I grew up in the same small town, she is a born superstar. If you want to have a boogie listen to Candy's House, if you are feeling whimsical go to Real Love (and you must watch the video too) and for your more sensitive side Secret's Out.

CRYSTAL CHEN

Smooooth and sultry, Cystal's Love Letter is one of my favourites. Something you can trust her to provide is VISUALS!!!!! Go watch Not Another Love Song and Love Letter and prepare to be transported into her world. OBSESSED.

BEXY

Confessional, honest and tender Bexy’s voice is CAPTIVATING. You Don’t Lie and The End Of The World Again, a staple on my drive home from my night shifts in hospo, so cathartic and refreshing perfect to hang your head out the window to, hair tossing in the wind (main character energy ya know)

SARVI

Sarvi’s project ‘I’m not ignoring you, I’m just overwhelmed’ is heaven. Laid back, it feels like a sunny afternoon but also transports you to a smoke-filled jazz club. My personal favourites from this project are Swingin’ Both Ways and Goodbye.

RIIKI REID

If you are in the mood to dance The City by Riiki Reid will leave no crumbs. Her sound is addicting, live performances are captivating, bringing dance and vocals to the stage. Home With Me is another one that I gravitate towards, an intimate and emotive track from Riiki.

And The Clouds Came Undone is out May 24! Listen to Keeping Our Bodies Warm below.
