Melbourne based singer-songwriter Elliot Willis has treated us with his brand new single, Freeway.

The lush release brings a relaxed approach to Willis' established indie-pop sonics, with subtle threads of R&B that lean into a genre-defying exploration of sound. Fusing together warm rhythms around the musicians compelling vocal performance and easy-going flow, the track recalls on days spent with each other, playing out above carefree production from Boler Mani and shimmering instrumentation.

Speaking of the track, Willis shares with MILKY: "This track was written during lockdown and it’s about reminiscing on all the times that we had before we weren’t able to do anything. The producer and I just wanted to make something upbeat and fun and then that’s when this track came up! Nothing too lyrically intense, just a fun track that people can hopefully put on and just enjoy! "

The UK born musician made his debut in 2020 with his singles Miles and Here With Me, followed up by the release of Brown Eyes, which premiered on MILKY. Willis has spent the past year working on new material and growing his adoring fanbase, treating his ever growing audience with covers across his social platforms. Willis is also the frontman of Mornington Peninsula five-piece, Sunday Honey.
