Adelaide singer-songwriter Elizabeth Ruyi is back, sharing her new single Stars and Galaxies. The release follows up the singers debut single, Wondering.
Produced and mixed by award winning songwriter, producer, and sound engineer Mario Späte, Ruyi’s beguiling vocals float above spatial and atmospheric production, with bass work from Anthony Costanzo delicately woven throughout. The heartfelt release brings an acoustic flair to the dreamy synth-pop sonics, conceptually commenting on the intricate and shining parts that create a person, taking listeners on a journey of self-discovery.
Speaking of the track, Ruyi shares: “I’m so excited to put this song out into the world. It’s been with me for many years and it’s evolved so much in that time. I really feel like it represents my journey as an artist and I can’t wait to share it.”
Influenced by the likes of Willow and Billie Eilish, Ruyi brings her own approach to synth-pop, transporting listeners to another realm in which her ethereal vocals exist. Laced with vulnerability, her debut Wondering channeled pop-superstar Ariana Grande, with echoing harmonies and reaching new vocal heights. Only on her second single, Ruyi is finding her feet as an artist and has her eyes set on 2022.
