Global hit-maker Ed Sheeran is returning to Australia! The musician has announced a string of stadium tour dates following the release of his fifth studio album, = (Equals).
Kicking off in Brisbane on February 17, the run of shows will continue on to Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide, before wrapping up in Perth on March 12. With general public tickets on sale from 11am local time on March 23, fans can score presale tickets from March 21st through Frontier Touring's membership program.
Written and recorded across Suffolk, London, Sweden and LA, = (Equals) features the previously released hits Bad Habits and Shiver, as well as the musicians tribute to his mentor and friend, the late Michael Gudinski. Across the fourteen tracks, Sheeran explores themes of love, loss and resilience, whilst also coming to terms with the juxtaposition of his reality and career.
The musician serves as executive producer, alongside FRED (No.6 Collaborations Project) and Johnny McDaid (Divide), and also teams up with a number of collaborators, including Steve Mac, Joe Rubel, Amy Wadge, Foy Vance, Elvira Anderfjard, David Hodges, Andrew Watt, Lou Bell, Natalie Hemby, Ben Kweller, and his own brother Matthew. Sheeran took on a new creative roll this cycle, with the albums cover art featuring an own abstract painting from Sheeran himself.
The musician recently shared a new rendition of The Joker And The Queen, teaming up once again with global superstar Taylor Swift. The release arrives alongside an official visual, which offers up a new chapter of the characters we met in Swift and Sheeran's previous collaboration, Everything Has Changed.
