Australia’s very own songbird with the voice of an angel, Delta Goodrem, has announced she will be hitting arenas all over the country in 2021!
“There’s nothing like being on tour and being with people face to face and to share in the magic of live music,” the singer said said in a statement. “I hope this gives us all something to look forward to when we come together again and share the magic of live music.
The Voice Australia judge will be kicking off her Bridge Over Troubled Dreams Tour in Brisbane, before playing to crowds on the Gold Coast, Sydney, Canberra, Wollongong, Adelaide, Perth, Townsville, Newcastle and Melbourne. The tour will be in support of the singers upcoming sixth studio album, dropping the records lead single, Keep Climbing, in May.
Earlier this year, Goodrem wowed the world with her incredible talent performing her inspirational song Together We Are One in One World: Together At Home, a virtual charity concert curated by Lady Gaga for Global Citizen. The concert featured Taylor Swift, The Rolling Stones, Lizzo, Sir Paul McCartney, The Killers, Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli. Since then Delta started ‘The Bunkerdown Sessions’, a weekly live concert on social media where the singer performs not only her own hits, but some of her favourite songs.
If she wasn’t busy enough, Australias sweetheart launched The Delta Goodrem Foundation. The foundation aims to focus on inspiring programming, direct support for meaningful initiatives and forming authentic partnerships to accelerate action. “I have been so blessed and inspired throughout my life by the kindness of others. I have always wanted to start my own Foundation in order to continue making giving back a focus of my life and now that dream is a reality” Goodrem said when launching the foundation. Having began treatment for Hodgkin’s Lymphoma at age 18, Goodrem has painted a relationship with St Vincent’s as the Patron of the Kinghorn Cancer Centre and helping to raise over $7.3 million for the new Hematology, Blood and Marrow Transplant Ward at St Vincent’s Hospital. The foundation is in partnership with St Vincent’s Hospital and The Kinghorn Cancer Centre.
