Irish-born, London-based musician Cian Ducrot has unveiled his new single, Crocodiles.
The personal and moving track conceptually explores being let down by a friend, and coming to the realisation of putting yourself first and leaving behind friendships that no longer bring personal happiness. Crocodiles further showcases Ducrot's songwriting skills, bringing his evocative lyricism to narrate personal experiences that resonate universally.
On the track, Ducrot shares, “Crocodiles is a song I wrote after I experienced my closest friends letting me down when I needed them the most. It was a hard realization that sometimes those you’d do anything for wouldn’t do the same for you and it hit me extremely hard.”
The tracks accompanying visual depicts Ducrot searching for a temporary home after being kicked out of his friends flat, whilst scenes of a couple flash in and out. The two tales meet at a juncture whilst the musician is busking, and the woman from the earlier scenes stops in her tracks to take his performance in.
