Sydney-based pop duo Cat & Calmell have delivered their new single, Overstimulated. Produced by Nick Ward, the track finds the duo exploring inner anxieties and the complexity of modern life. The release arrives alongside an official visual, filmed on location in South Korea, and directed by Joshua Moll and Oliver Kirby.
“I think Calmell and I really try to uplift the things we genuinely believe in and are proud of and that’s why we’ve worked on a lot of this next project with our friends. We wanted it to feel like it was made by a community of people, because it was, but also the wider community as Asian women as well and trying to shine a light on how much creativity there is there.” the duo share.
Next month, Cat & Calmell will support Brisbane artist Mallrat on her national tour. Kicking off at The Fortitude Music Hall in Brisbane on May 12, the run of shows will continue on to Adelaide's Hindley Street Music Hall and Sydney's Roundhouse before wrapping up at the Forum in Melbourne on May 2o.
