New Zealand’s platinum sensation BENEE has given fans another taste of her upcoming debut album, this time bringing Lily Allen & Flo Milli along for the ride on her new single, Plain. The singers debut album, Hey u x, is due out next month.

On the dreamy track, the singer is sending a message to her ex, reminding them she can never be replaced. British superstar Lily Allen provides a beautifully melancholic verse, with the two singers vocals complimenting each other tremendously. The track is complete with a razor-sharp rap from Flo Milli, set to a bouncier beat.

Of the collaboration, BENEE shared, “I wanted to make it a song someone could listen to when they find out their ex is with someone new. The feeling sucks, so I wanted ‘Plain’ to make ya feel like you have the upper hand. Lily and Flo Milli both have such cool sass, and both their verses really elevated the track!”

It’s been a busy year for BENNE, with the singer launching her very own record label, Olive. The labels first signing, is 19 year-old Raglan artist, Muroki. The Kenyan-New Zealander caught the attention of the singer through his self-released debut, Better or Worse, which dropped last year. The singer is creating a formidable force with her new record label, building a tight knit team comprised of label manager Trieste Douglas, formerly A&R for Universal NZ, and Poppy Tohill, from BENEE’s management team at CRS.

Hey u x will feature the singers hit singles Supalonely, Night Garden and Snail. The highly-anticipated record will host a number of collaborations, with the hit-maker enlisting Grimes, Gus Dapperton, Mallrat, Kenny Beats, Bakar and Muroki
